“Planetony” are tons of tones. Mateusz Ryczek has beaten the (Solar) System (Rings of Saturn, Neptune, the Ocean of Europe). However, in the centre of his own system there is order,a “pre-established harmony”. In most cases it is the Lucas numbers (each number is the sum of two previous ones: 2, 1, 3, 4, 7, 11, 18, 29, …) the so-called golden ratio (1.61803). This is the number in which all pairs of Lucas numbers (11:7, 18:11, 29:18 etc.) and artists converge. Some who tried doing it before Ryczek were Phidias, Botticelli, Le Corbusier, and Xenakis. The composer also uses the silver ratio (0.4142), as well as a whole range of golden, silver, copper, iron, and bromine chords smelted by himself. Transforming abstract mathematical laws into concrete frequencies, Ryczek is a double creator: not only does he generate compositions but also the material, the fabric of his astral bodies, the planetones.
